The 1-1.25" MAV alternator, or automatic three-way valve Clack MAV, ensures the joint alternating operation of two Clack control valves, which allows purified water to be supplied to the consumer from two filters without interruption. The alternator is switched using a built-in servo drive.
The mechanism of operation of this system is as follows:
1. The filter control valves (master and slave) are connected by a communication cable.
2. Through the interface cable connected to the leading softening filter (to its control valve), the alternator servo drive (three-way valve) is controlled.
3. When the system is first started, the slave softening filter remains idle and the alternator is switched to a position where water flow passes through the master filter. Depending on the system configuration, pulse water meters can be used both for each filter separately, and one meter for two filters.
4. When the filter has exhausted its service life, the lead valve signals this to the three-way valve, which changes the direction of water flow - it closes the flow of water through the exhausted filter and directs it to the filter, which has been idle all this time. From now on, this filter will purify the water.
5. After switching the water flow, the filter, which has used up its service life, starts the regeneration process. It should be noted that the regeneration process of the used filter begins only after the three-way valve completely switches the water flow to the second filter, that is, while the softening system is in a transition state, the supply of hard water to the consumer is excluded.
