Description

Grizzlies are large, strong animals reaching (standing upright) a height of 2.40 metres and a weight of 450 kilograms. They have a kind of hump on their back and very strong hind legs. Grizzly bears can reach speeds of 55 kilometres per hour. They live like loners and often behave aggressively. They sometimes come together to fish for salmon in the waters. These omnivorous animals feed on fish, plants and large mammals such as moose, deer and black bear. They are also known to steal food from wolves and humans.
